shalom basketHannukah Basket | About/F.A.Q.

Do you want to positively impact your relationship with your Jewish friends? Hannukah Baskets are a great way to bless your Jewish friends during the Hannukah season. If you have a Jewish friend in the Metro Atlanta area, please pray about sending them a Hannukah Basket. If you want to help put together or deliver baskets, we can use your help as well. Please share this letter with someone who has a Jewish friend.

What is a Hannukah Basket?

A Hannukah Basket is a gift basket that includes Hanukkah candy, a Hanukkah candle, and a special card from you. It is appropriately and beautifully designed to give to your Jewish friend during Hannukah.

How does the Hannukah Basket ministry work?

You order the basket from our ministry, and we put it together for you. We strongly encourage you to deliver your own baskets personally and are finding this to be a much more effective way to help you reach your friends. We will be happy to help you and arrange delivery to you. Of course if you would prefer for us to deliver the basket, we will be glad to do so. If it is your desire, we will discuss spiritual issues with your friend upon delivery, or we will merely drop it off and wish them a Happy Hannukah from you. We will follow your instructions.

How do you know what I want you to do?

On the order form, there is a place to indicate the delivery type. We strongly encourage you to indicate that you will deliver the basket yourself, but you may also indicate if the delivery is a "red light", "yellow light", or "green light". A "red light" indicates you want us to deliver the basket, wish your friend a happy Hannukah, and leave without discussing any spiritual issues. A "yellow light" indicates that you want us to very cautiously address spiritual issues. A "green light" indicates you want us to look for an opportunity to talk to your friends about spiritual issues, more specifically in regards to what they think about Jesus.

What about the Hannukah card? What does it say?

We enclose a traditional Jewish Hannukah card with the basket (no Christian materials are enclosed). Please let us know if there is a special note or greeting for your Jewish friend. We will personalize and sign the card for you.

Will you take the basket to a place of business?

Absolutely. We have delivered baskets to doctors, lawyers, real estate agents, chiropractors, and other types of business people. Due to the nature of the office environment, many times we are unable to speak directly to the recipient of the basket.  So, it is not advisable to send a “green light” basket to a business unless you know we can speak directly to your friend.

What do you do if someone isn’t at home or work?

Due to the volume of baskets we are unable to revisit homes. If the person is not in, we will leave the basket at their home or business. Most of our baskets are delivered in the evening between 6 PM and 9 PM. We deliver baskets to businesses during the day.

How much does it cost?

Each basket is $25.00.

What is the timeframe?

Hannukah Baskets must be purchased by December 10, and will be delivered to you or to your recipient during the Hannukah season.

How do I order a basket?

We are no longer taking orders for Hanukkah Baskets this year. Please check back next December for an opportunity to send one to your Jewish friend next Hanukkah.
