Rosh HaShanah (the Festival of Trumpets/the Jewish New Year) begins at sundown, September 28, 2011 and goes through September 30. This is the first day of the Jewish year 5770.

Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) begins at sundown, October 7, 2011.

Sukkot (Tabernacles) begins at sundown, October 12, 2011 and goes through September 19.

Hanukkah (Festival of Lights) begins at sundown on December 20, 2011. Light candles for 8 nights.

Purim (from the Book of Esther) begins at sundown March 7, 2012.

Passover begins at sundown April 6, 2012 and goes through April 14.

Shavuot (Weeks/Pentecost) begins at sundown May 26, 2012 and goes through May 28.

Tisha B'Av (Destruction of Temple) begins at sundown July 29, 2012.
