Sylvia's Story
It's with tears of sadness and joy that I write this report. I got a late night summons to go to the hospital to come to the bedside of one of my dear Jewish contacts named Sylvia. She had to have two emergency surgeries yesterday, and things did not go in her favor. The family, none of whom know Jesus, miraculously asked for me to come to her bedside.

What's Wrong With the TV Documentary "Jesus"?
A seriously diluted Jesus is now being peddled by a wide variety of scholars who are getting publicity in the media. This pint-sized Jesus did not understand himself to be the Messiah. He did not die deliberately to rescue believers from the wrath of God, but was executed for his naivete in thinking he could reform Judaism.

Zechariah 12:10 - Another Case of Rabbinic Revisionism
The rabbis used to believe in a Messiah who would suffer and die, according to the prophets of Israel. The Talmud, for example, refers to a Messiah, Son of Joseph, who will be slain (Sukkah 52a). In presenting this concept of a Messiah who will be slain, the Talmudic rabbis refer to Zechariah 12:10. How different things are in the modern Rabbinic Jewish community!

Two Famous Rabbis Who Rejected Sacrifice
When I am speaking to non-Jewish groups about Judaism, I frequently hear the question, "What happened to the sacrifices?" Since 70 C.E., when the Roman armies destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem, no animal sacrifices have been performed by the Jewish community. That is, until recently.

Does Your Rabbi Teach What Moses Taught?
Did you ever wonder if your Rabbi, or rabbis in general, were still teaching the religion of Moses? You will hear many rabbis speak of the greatness of the Torah (the writings of Moses) and of the need for all Jews to live by the Torah. Have you ever read the books of the Torah, known in English as Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy? If you did, it would not take you long at all to see a major difference between the religion of Moses and the religion of the rabbis.

Isaiah 53 - The Suffering Messiah
It should be obvious that all is not well on Planet Earth. God's supernatural communique, the Bible, accurately analyzes the human dilemma and tells us the solution. It contains prophecies about a special individual who will come to Planet Earth to solve our problems. The prophets of Israel call Him the Anointed One - the Messiah.

Is There a God and Why Should I Care?
Years ago, when the cosmonauts of Russia began to go into space, one of them cracked, “I have been above the skies and I have not found God!” Apparently he thought that heaven was a place that could be gotten to by travel. Yet he raised a good question, “What evidence is there for a God in this universe?”

Jesus . . . The Jewish Messiah
"Jesus, for Jews?" "Crazy!" Yes, but a lot of people are considering the claim that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah. Two thousand years ago people didn't ask, "How can you be Jewish and believe in Jesus?" Instead, they asked "How can you be Gentile and believe in Jesus?"

The Joys of Yiddish . . . The Joys of Yeshua!
Yiddish is a language that most Boomers and X'ers don't know very well. In fact, many call it a dying language. But, maybe you heard your moms, dads, or grandparents use words like mentsh, mishuggene, bubele, kibbitz, schmooz, or schlep. Hey, dying languages oftentimes have a lot of life left in them.

More Evidence for the Resurrection
"Maybe Jesus didn’t really die. Maybe he was only unconscious or in a coma."--The Romans were expert executioners. Soldiers were sent out to make sure Jesus and the two thieves were dead before the sabbath began. They found Jesus already dead, but impaled his side with a spear to be certain.

The Story of Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakkai
The Roman general, and soon-to-be emperor, Titus, was not merciful to Jerusalem. His soldiers laid it to rubble during a lengthy and bitter siege. It is reported that his soldiers had heard that there was gold in the stones of the Temple. So they smashed the stones one by one and left not one stone upon another.

Why Should Anyone Believe in Jesus?
A professor at Northwestern University in Chicago says that the Holocaust is a myth, a deliberate fabrication. Many thousands of people agree with him. Other people claim that the moon landing was a hoax, a Hollywood production designed to cover up billions of dollars of embezzled government funds. How do we know if these people are right or wrong? What is the basis for judging historical truth?

Jesus in the Passover
"What does Jesus have to do with the Passover? Passover is Jewish!" Well . . . so is Jesus! Jesus celebrated the Passover every year during his lifetime. Even more than that, we believe that all of the symbols of Passover ultimately point to him. Here are just a few examples of how the symbols of Passover find fulfillment in Jesus.

Is Blood Atonement Necessary?
The issue covered here has to be the greatest flaw in the rabbinic position. The power that the rabbis have in the Jewish community is based upon the abolishment of the Temple/sacrificial system. If the sacrificial system returns, there will no longer be a need for the rabbis. The priests will again lead the people of Israel.

Is Intentional Sin Atoned For by Sacrifice?
"Christians say that Jesus' death on the cross is an atonement for all sin for those who believe, but in the Torah, blood atonement was only for unintentional sin."So goes a common argument leveled against faith in Jesus by many apologists for rabbinic Judaism. But is this argument valid? If it is, then Christians cannot claim that their sins are forgiven because of their faith in Jesus' death.

A Jewish Perspective on the Resurrection of Jesus
In the religion section of Time Magazine, May 7, 1979, was a curious story. An orthodox rabbi had written a book claiming that the resurrection of Jesus was a true historical event. The rabbi, Pinchas Lapide, did not become a follower of Jesus, but had to admit that the evidence for the factuality of the resurrection was overwhelming.
