Who We Are

Since 1992, LIGHT OF MESSIAH MINISTRIES has been proclaiming the message of Jesus to the Jewish community of Atlanta. Unfortunately, most Jewish people do not understand who Jesus really is Jewish people think that Jesus is the "Christian god." To a Jewish person, Jesus is the one who Christians look to to find spiritual fulfillment and enlightenment. Most Jewish people do not understand that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah who came in fulfillment of the ancient Jewish prophecies.

LIGHT OF MESSIAH MINISTRIES exists for two purposes. First we want to overcome the misunderstanding that Jesus is not for the Jewish people. We want to help our people know that Jesus is our Messiah and that the most Jewish thing that anyone can do is believe in Him. We also want to help our brothers and sisters in Messiah understand the Jewish roots of our faith.

We accomplish our goals by meeting with Jewish people one on one for Bible studies. We open the Scriptures to see how Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament. We meet our people while distributing literature at major sporting events, on college campuses, and at festivals where we distribute literature and interact with the multitudes.

We also spend a lot of our time in the local church teaching the Word of God, the Jewish roots of our faith, and explaining the Jewish holidays. By helping Christians understand the Jewish roots of our faith, we believe that we are at the same time equipping them to communicate the love of Messiah to their Jewish friends in a sensitive, loving, and effective way. Knowing more about the Jewish Jesus helps us to know more about ALL of Jesus!

LIGHT OF MESSIAH MINISTRIES exists to bridge the misunderstanding that people have about Jesus and the Jewish roots of our faith. Ultimately we hope that all will hear the message of the One who came to bring us into a relationship with God.
